As the COO of Fybe, Mr. Coughlin is responsible for management, strategy, and operational execution within a wholly owned subsidiary of Roanoke Cooperative. With Fybe's ambitious deployment of fiber to the premise in rural northeast North Carolina, he is a driving force in delivering robust services to the cooperative's member owners and beyond.
A recognized leader in the cable industry, Mr. Coughlin's strategic vision and management as EVP/CTO at Knight Enterprises was central to expanding the company’s footprint in the OSP/Utility construction, and fulfillment sectors nationwide, overseeing growth from $35M to an impressive $135M before its strategic sale in 2021.
Mr. Coughlin's extensive leadership experience in the cable sector includes founding Rekindl, a SaaS/PaaS company delivering cutting-edge geospatial and marketing analytics solutions, which successfully exited in 2014. His prior tenure at Time Warner Cable solidified his reputation as a transformational leader in the cable industry. Mr. Coughlin was integral to the creation and leadership of the company's broadband efforts and was responsible for developing and implementing two billion-dollar lines of business, revolutionizing broadband delivery in the business vertical and spearheading the introduction of VoIP services. His tenure culminated as President of the Carolina Region Business Services, where he led the southeast region to unprecedented performance levels.
